After 27 years at the Gaston County Sheriff’s Office, Captain James D. Bailey retired in July of 2017. It has been a busy retirement so far.  Captain Bailey has gone back to work for the Billy Graham Evangelical Association in Charlotte, NC, while staying on part time with the Sheriff’s Office, coordinating jail schools and helping with training.

Bailey retired as Captain over the Training Division and Policy Revisions. He had 30 years credible service at the Gaston County Sheriff’s Office as well as 21 years in the U.S. Airforce / S.C. ANG, retiring as a Master Sergeant.  Bailey attended the 222nd Session of the FBINA.

We thank Captain James D. Bailey for his dedication and commitment to the citizens of North Carolina and wish him well in retirement.
